2. Local Data Storage

SimpleShot stores the following data locally on your device:

• Your golf rounds and scores
• Saved golf courses
• Settings and preferences
• Handicap data

This data does not leave your device unless you use cloud features.

3. Cloud Services (Firebase)

For certain features, we use Firebase (Google):

• Guestbook: Public greetings are stored in Firebase
• Course Database: Shared golf course data
• GPS Mapping: Anonymous coordinates for distance measurement

4. Third-Party Integrations

Garmin Connect (Optional)

If you choose to connect your Garmin account, we receive:

• Golf round data (scores, putts, fairways hit)
• Round date and course information

This data is used solely to display your statistics and calculate your handicap within SimpleShot. We do not share this data with third parties.

AI Features (Anthropic)

For AI-powered features, data is transmitted to Anthropic:

• Scorecard Scanner: Photos are processed for text recognition
• Course Scanner: Photos of scorecards for course recognition
• Rules Nerd: Your questions are transmitted for answering

Anthropic does not permanently store this data and does not use it for training.

5. GPS Data

The app uses GPS for:

• Distance measurement to the green
• Mapping new golf courses (optional)

GPS data is only collected during active use and can be shared anonymously.

6. In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed through Apple. We do not receive any payment data.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your data
• Rectification of inaccurate data
• Erasure of your data
• Restriction of processing
• Data portability
• Object to processing

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
